Its hard to believe that in just a few days we will be gathered around dinner tables celebrating Thanksgiving. What's even more unbelievable is that just a few days following we will celebrate Christmas. It seems to me that 2007 has flown by faster than we have been able to grasp it. As always, upon entering the Holiday Season, I believe its important for us to guard against leaving Christ out of Christmas. We tend to get so busy that our worship lacks urgency, our commitment lacks stability, our humanity is patronized by commercialism, and we have nothing left to show for it but fatigue and January credit card statements!
I challenge you to fix your focus, and in the celebration of this special Godly season, never fail to remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. Amidst the Christmas trees, the gift shopping, the home decorating, and the myriad of joyful festivities, I urge you to be in God's house, and remain faithful! Blessings to your family as you follow Him.
