God's Word in a Presidential Debate

I hesitated to post this because it is political in nature, but I though you may be as encouraged as I was to hear a Presidential candidate actually address a question about God directly, without trying to skirt around it. This is a clip from a Republican debate in which Mike Huckabee states his beliefs in direct response to a question from the moderator. Notice the difference in reactions between the moderator and the audience.

Disclaimer: I don't know anything about Mike Huckabee, other than that he is an ordained minister, and do not post the following as an endorsement of him as a presidential candidate. I simply am passing this video on to you for informational purposes. You draw your own conclusions. Blessings!

Nativity Back at Ohio parks

Associated Press

COLUMBUS -- Under an order from Gov. Ted Strickland, Nativity scenes removed from two state parks have been put back up.

The Christmas manger displays in Shawnee State Park in Scioto County and Malabar Farm in Richland County had been taken down after a complaint from a Shawnee visitor. He argued that large figures representing the Hindu and Zoroastrian religions should be displayed, too.

Strickland spokesman Keith Dailey says the governor decided last week that the Nativity scenes should be restored to the state parks because they're appropriate and traditional.

Dailey says a Zoroastrian symbol would not be acceptable, because it's not traditionally displayed for the holidays.

The Haven Youth Ministry

I want to take a moment to publically commend our students. Tonight was my first night in worship with them since they lost their awesome youth pastor. They filled the room with worship, and touched the heart of God. Although I had big shoes to fill, the students were graciously receptive and responsive to the Word. We have the best group of students that any pastor could ask for. I'm proud of you guys!
